4th Annual Columbus Coffee Festival

September 28 & 29, 2019

Despite a weekend of 90 degree weather, the 4th annual Columbus Coffee Festival showed that it’s never too hot to enjoy a cup of coffee. Over 5,000 attendees packed the Ohio Village to enjoy coffee samples from over 25 independent roasters and coffee shops from around the Midwest. Guests enjoyed a mixture of cold brews, decaf and speciality blends.

Along with two full days of coffee, a variety of new experiences were added to the Festival. Guests enjoyed complimentary axe throwing, a local history exhibit of Ohio’s coffee, ceramic demos, local poets, musical acts courtesy of WAV, watercoloring with coffee, live screen printing, yoga and shopping from local merchants and a host of bakers served us sweet treats. Not to mention a cat cafe, where attendees helped over $1,800 for Columbus Humane and one kitten found a new home.

Upon entry, each guest received a commemorative mug that helped reduce our event waste by diverting the use of styrofoam mugs, which would have ended up in a landfill. Our sustainability efforts also included collecting all the coffee grounds from the weekend. SWACO assisted with new recycling tents and an overall collection of 8 cubic yards of cardboard.
